Prue Bentley meets with Alan Finkel, author and former Australian chief scientist, to discuss the science and politics behind clean energy.

Alan Finkel
Alan Finkel was Australia’s chief scientist from 2016 to 2020. He is a neuroscientist, engineer and entrepreneur. He led the 2017 National Electricity Market Review and the 2019 development of the National Hydrogen Strategy, and chaired the 2020 panel developing the Low Emissions Technology Roadmap. He is currently special adviser to the Australian government on low-emissions technologies.
Prue Bentley
Prue Bentley is the Editor for ABC Ballarat and Southwest Victoria, overseeing the development of broadcast and digital content for two regional Victorian bureaus.
As a content maker for over 15 years, Prue has produced and presented local radio programs across Australia and news programs syndicated to the Asia-Pacific.
She believes in the power of conversations to bring people together on important issues, and the value of local communities to make meaningful change.
