Submission of Item Acquisition to the BMI Collection

The Ballaarat Mechanics' Institute receives the prospective gift item/s in good faith and in the belief and understanding that the Donor has valid title to the said item. While the items are in its care, the Institute shall ensure that they receive the same degree of protection and safekeeping as comparable property of its own. The absence of condition notes on this receipt does not imply that the material was received complete and/or in good conditions. The institute shall not carry insurance on objects deposited with it for any purpose. The issuing of this form or the act of leaving an object or objects with the Institute, does not automatically constitute acceptance of the object/s in the Institute's collections.
