Ballarat Biodiversity Week – 2026 | 1 – 7 August
Ballarat Biodiversity Week is a celebration of the landscapes, wildlife, waterways and people that make Ballarat one of Victoria’s most liveable regional destinations.
Visitors are invited to explore nature, discover local conservation stories and experience the region’s rich environmental and cultural heritage.
The program features guided walks in Woowookarung Regional Park, wildlife experiences at Ballarat Wildlife Park, biodiversity-focused winery tours, cultural learning with Wadawurrung Traditional Owners, outdoor adventure activities, art inspired by nature and exhibitions showcasing Ballarat’s natural history.
Ballarat Biodiversity Week highlights the region’s commitment to protecting and restoring biodiversity while offering memorable experiences for nature lovers, families, outdoor enthusiasts and curious travellers. From forests and wetlands to vineyards and wildlife habitats, visitors can discover how nature shapes the Ballarat region and contributes to a healthier, happier and more connected community.
