On ANZAC, Vietnam Veterans and Remembrance Days each year ex-Service people bring out their medals! David will talk about Australian medals from the Post World War 2 period, to include, Korea, Malaya, Borneo, Vietnam, East Timor, Afghanistan, Iraq, and the other conflicts where Australians were awarded medals.
He will also talk about the correct wearing and care of medals, about the various badges such as the Returned from Active Service Badge. David will answer questions on any aspect of medals and military memorabilia.

Manchester born David Wright emigrated to Adelaide in 1964, aged 5, and became interested in collecting medals and memorabilia. He served in the Ordnance Corps in the Regular Army from 1976 to 1986. This led to a Storeman’s position during the building of the Adelaide Casino.
David moved to Ballarat in 1997 and worked in the area he loved of Medals and Memorabilia with I. S. Wright. In 2007 David opened his own shop. David Wright Militaria and Collectables, fittingly now located in Shepherd Street behind the old Ranger Barracks (now Dan Murphy’s).
