Digitisation workshop
Capturing high-quality images of your catalogue records serve as a digital preservation copy of our collections while also allowing for increased public access and decreased physical handling.
This workshop will provide you with an opportunity to work one-on-one to learn the basics of museum photography such as camera settings and operations, lighting, and image composition for 2D and 3D items.
You will also have the opportunity to use a scanner – negatives and transparencies can be digitised – to learn about digitisation standards.
Please note that participants are required to bring a maximum of two collection items.
You are also invited to bring a camera – ideally one that will continue to be used for their organisation’s digitisation.
Cost | AMaGA member/Student $20.00 | Non-member – volunteer organisation $20.00 | Non-member – paid staff organisation $30.00
