Laura J Fitzwilson, Book Launch – The Fool

August 23 @ 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm

Heritage Reading Room

The Fool

Laura J. Fitzwilson

After his parents and brother are assassinated, Leo is forced to become king of the smallest country on a continent that looks an awful lot like Australia.

He faces a kingdom on the brink of bankruptcy and a mistimed sneeze away from being drawn into a war; a murderous cult with a fixation on his family; and … the castle fool is like, really mean. He better learn how to juggle, fast.

About Laura J Fitzwilson

Laura J Fitzwilson

Laura is a writer who specialises in speculative fiction with a focus on people. She was the chairperson of Ballarat Writers in 2023 and served on the committee for six years.

Her short story “All My Tuesdays” was shortlisted for the 2022 Aurealis Awards. She’s queer, disabled and wouldn’t want to be anyone else. It is her life’s aspiration to write as fearlessly as the Fast and Furious writers do.
