Making Up Amanda Rozzi Bazzani. A Cold Case Ballarat, 1988. ...
This Heritage Reading Room (the original Mining Exchange in Ballarat) houses a fascinating and authentic representation of a Mechanics’ Institute library from early last century, and visitors will be delighted at the opportunity to touch, feel and read some of more than 16,000 historic books and other publications that make up the registered collection, for a small entry fee.
Visitors will also be able to access a continuation of the themed exhibition within this magnificent room, focusing on the history of Ballarat’s community spaces dedicated to entertainment and the importance of those in strengthening a cohesive and inclusive community.
We will be hosting another exhibition in the Hugh Williamson Foyer (free entry).
Free for BMI members | General admittance $5 at the library desk on entry
