Twilight Talks second Session 20 April

In case you missed it!

We had another great night in our Twilight Talks series on The Yarrowee and the local environment. Dr Sarah Strong and Rob Amor from Ballarat Gardens for Wildlife showed us what we can do everyday in our own gardens to promote the health of wildlife. Everything from building a nesting box to planting the right species for birds of every kind. Then it was a bird watcher’s delight as Dr Grant Palmer from Federation University showed us the huge range of species we have in our region, and where to find them. On a more serious note, all of our speakers reminded us of the increasing habitat loss Ballarat is experiencing and how important it is for us to protect habitat for the generations of wildlife to come.

Don’t miss our next Session: “How people power is protecting local waterways”
