Michelle Nicolle Quartet at the BMI
The Ballaarat Mechanics’ Institute has teamed up with Melbourne organisation Small Space Music to present a three-concert music series kicking off with one of Australia’s finest jazz singers Michelle Nicolle, returning with her Quartet on June 29th.
Opening act for the concert will be a trio of Ballarat High School students: Peter, Paula & Peggy.

Recipients of the 2017 Bell Australian Jazz Award for Vocal Album of the Year the Michelle Nicolle Quartet is critically acclaimed as one of Australia’s finest, most prolific and inventive jazz ensembles in the country, with 2018 marking 20 years of the MNQ recording and touring.
For their BMI performance, MNQ would like to celebrate this milestone with a retrospective of their career and perform songs from their eight CD releases as well as new arrangements from their upcoming recording of the music of Johann Sebastian Bach.
