Carrying the barest of necessities\, Nyibol brought with her a resilient sense of family and tradition. She dreamed of being in a community free of conflict – and of translating all of the flavours of her Nuer heritage for her new neighbours. The ambition of sharing cultures sustained Nyibol through the rigours of learning a new language\, establishing roots in unfamiliar places and climates\, attending school\, navigating the novel byways of Australian life\, and starting a family of her own. In 2019 Nyibol launched A TUK – a name drawn from a Nuer term meaning ‘Begin’. Today\, Nyibol holds firm to the values of autonomy and self-determination\, and her commitments to environmental sustainability and giving back to her community. \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Arts and cultural activities If you would like to provide feedback on BMI activities you have experienced or have suggestions on what you would like us to consider then we would like to hear from you.
