There will be performances by the Melba Artists during the five course dinner. Dame Nellie Melba was a regular at the Savoy Hotel\, London. Auguste Escoffier\, the legendary chef from the Savoy \, invented and named the light accompaniment of dry thinly sliced bread after her (Melba Toast) when Melba was ill in 1897. Escoffier also created the Peach Melba\, Melba Sauce and Melba Garniture in her Honour.
