The items on sale are generally duplicates or things that don’t fit in the BMI Heritage Collection criteria. This special event will offer items which are very reasonably priced\, offering good value to collectors wishing to give these treasures a new home.  The funds raised will go to the conservation and curation of the BMI collection and the maintenance of the building which houses the collection. We will run this event through the week unless we sell out prior to this. We are thrilled to be part of Rare Book Week and we hope our book sale will bring many new faces into the BMI.  Don’t miss this rare opportunity. \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Rare Book Week \n \n \n \n \n \n The Ballaarat Mechanics’ Institute has been invited to participate in Rare Book Week 2024\,  through a special event on 26th July.  The event will focus on the recently restored von Mueller specimens and a talk by curator Ellen Becker on the topic\, followed by a discussion between Ellen and Toni Burton from the State Library of Victoria.  								\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n This event takes place on Wadawurrung Country.
