WORD BANQUET

feast on ideas, poetry, prose, plays, conversations

Looking for a participatory experience with other lovers of the words and ideas that move, inspire, and change us?

WORD BANQUET meets fortnightly.

Ballarat Mechanics’ Institute

7.00 pm

each 2nd Wednesday of the month

March to November

Read and listen to poetry, prose, plays – a different form of words each month. There’ll be themes. Read work you love – yours or someone else’s. Or join moderated big conversations on a pre-posted topic.

IMPORTANT:  Want to read on a particular night?

On the EVENT PAGE for that date, look for the SIGN-UP POST and add your name in the comments underneath. If you forget, add your name to a list on the night, and read if there’s time. Count on up to five minutes, maybe more, depending upon how many of us are there—bring extra poems in reserve!

The Word Banquet events are administered from HERE….

NOTE:  We can continue with Tara and Stephen over the road at The Lost Ones Basement Bar if we just can’t stop!

A cultural event auspiced by BMI, hosted by Susie Surtees, and with Amy Tsilemanis.

Entry by gold coin donation to cover operational costs.
