Sing Australia is a network of singers, right across the country, who enjoy singing without any expectations, no auditions but much fun and friendship.
The philosophy of Sing Australia is about encouraging more Australians to sing. And Ballarat and Ballarat North certainly do that with much joy and enthusiasm, under the musical directing of Marilyn Kent, accompanist Jane Nice and Leader Carolyn Priddle. Sing Australia inspires a love of music and singing. With no auditions, there’s no stress, no expectations, so no one can be disappointed. Everyone has a singing voice!
Sing Australia in Ballarat has gained a reputation for performing at civic functions such as Australia Day celebrations, Anzac Day services, choral festivals, residential facilities and celebrations throughout the city.
Sing Australia Ballarat has become the resident choir of the BMI, and holds fundraising concerts to provide much needed funds for the ongoing maintenance of this wonderful iconic building.
There is a network of Sing Australia right across the country. We sing from the same books so members can travel all over this wide brown land and join other Sing Australia groups on their travels.
Sing Australia Ballarat meets at the BMI on a Monday at 7 pm.
Sing Australia Ballarat North meets at BLOC, 608 Peel Street on Thursday at 10 am.
Come along and see what all the singing is about!!
