The Friends of Minerva- Movie and Luncheon

The Friends of Minerva is always organising entertaining fundraising events…so naturally this one is no different! The Friends are hosting a movie and luncheon session at the Regent Theatre on the 25th of August.

The highly appraised Australian film, “Last Cab to Darwin”, stars Michael Caton and Jacki Weaver in an epic journey a taxi driver takes to Darwin near the end of his life. Based on a true story, the comedy and drama is one not be missed for a visually touching and scenic journey of self-discovery.

Tickets can be purchased at the Ballaarat Mechanics’ Institute Lending Library for only $20, but be warned that places are limited!

This is the perfect opportunity not only to support the Friends of Minerva and the Australian film industry, but enjoy a Tuesday morning out of the Ballarat cold with a great bunch of people. Everyone is welcome to attend, even if you aren’t a member of the BMI. For further enquiries, please contact the Lending Library on 53313042.
